Product Summary This DuoSet IC ELISA contains the basic components required for the development of sandwich ELISAs to measure phosphorylated human, mouse, and rat JNK2 (T183 / Y185) in cell lysates. An immobilized capture antibody specific for JNK2 binds both phosphorylated and unphosphorylated JNK2. After washing away unbound material, a biotinylated detection antibody is used to detect only phosphorylated receptor, utilizing a standard HRP format. Preparation and Storage Shipping | The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below. | Storage | Store the unopened product at 2 - 8 °C. Do not use past expiration date. |
Background: JNK2Members of the MAPK family, the c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNKs) are activated by environmental stresses and inflammatory cytokines. Ten JNK isoforms are created by alternative splicing of mRNA transcripts derived from three genes: JNK1, JNK2, and JNK3. All JNKs are activated by dual phosphorylation; at T183/Y185 for JNK1 and 2, and T221/Y223 for JNK3. Activated JNKs translocate to the nucleus where they regulate the activity of several transcription factors; including the c-Jun component of AP-1 and ATF-2.
